——————————————————— 1978 Reunion Questionnaire ———————————————————

  1) The important people in my life (spouses, partners, children) are...

The most important person in my life is my husband, Rick Tuttle ('79). He is truly my other half.

  2) I went to Westtown because…

I was introduced to Westtown through Mercedes Kronfeld. From first grade, she and I were best friends. She was planning on going to Westtown in 10th grade and I got to know the place through coming along to pick up or drop off her older brother, Andreas. It seemed like a neat place, so I convinced my parents to let me apply.

  3) My occupation is a Stewardship Planning Program Manager and Art Director and Westtown prepared me for it by …

For almost 20 years now (!) I have been working for Natural Lands Trust, a conservation organization working to protect important natural areas and open space in the greater Philadelphia region. I have held a number of positions and am currently Stewardship Planning Program Manager and Art Director. As Stewardship Planning Program Manager I work with landowners — whether they be private, municipal, institutional — to help them better understand and manage their land to protect, restore, and enhance the natural resources. As Art Director I am responsible for designing and producing the Trust's brochures, publications, signage, etc. Graphic design has been a passion of mine since studying landscape architecture in college and in 1996 I established Holly Harper Graphic Design, a side business that keeps me busy designing printed materials for a variety of clients.

  4) My life’s greatest moments and challenges (to date) would be …

One of my best moments was winning an award for some of my graphic design work.

The greatest challenge in my life at this time is coping with the terminal illness of my mother.

  5) Westtown’s most inspirational faculty, classmate, friend (multiple choices accepted) would have to be …

(no response provided.)

  6) The most memorable time I broke the rules would be when I …

I was basically a "good girl" during my time at Westtown. The few times I did break the rules weren't very spectacular. Besides, I'm on the General Committee now... I can't put those in print!

  7) Was there a point in your life when you recognized any benefit from your time at Westtown?

I think the greatest thing Westtown gave me is some wonderful friendships.

  8) Do you plan to attend the 25th year reunion in May?

(no response provided.)
